Notes from Q&A:
A homeowner brought up that there is a common thread about boats and RVs.
Board response: There are some existing issues across the neighborhood that are not in alignment with the CCRs. It's a challenge for the board to determine which issues to grandfather allow versus start new enforcement. Two challenges are agreeing on meaning of the ambiguous CC&Rs document and how to enforce the rules. For meaning, first we need feedback from the survey before approaching an update to clarify the CC&Rs, so we can have enough data to determine if the majority of homes are interesting in addressing a particular issue. For enforcement, we usually start with a casual conversation. Next level is a formal written notification. There is a challenge in defining “current use” and keeping it consistent and fair for everyone. In the meantime, we prefer having friendly neighbor conversation about each situation.
Another homeowner brought up the FAQs as being useful to help provide some more guidance when CC&Rs are not clear enough. The board agrees that they are especially helpful for new neighbors.
Another homeowner asked about a fence he’s about to repair.

Someone asked about the budget for 2022. The board will accept additional volunteer help from the person who asked about it and plan to work together on it in early January.
The board also has started reviewing auto-pay options and will evaluate for both cost and security before offering it to process dues.
Another member asked about trees. The board advises to be communicative and involve King County.
A member asked about live Q&A on something like Slack. The board agreed to look into this at the next board meeting.
