PLE Winter 2021 Newsletter

Dear PLE Residents:

Happy holidays to the entire PLE community. We hope you’re enjoying all the blessings of the season here in Paradise!

As we close out 2021, here are a few of the latest developments and accomplishments in our neighborhood this year:

  • We’re planning our annual community meeting for December 10-15th. We’ll send out meeting details in the next week, including the Zoom link. While we’d like to have the meeting in person, the Woodinville Library is still closed for group events.

  • We have at least 3 new families that moved to PLE this year – WELCOME to Paradise!

  • All residents are invited to take our resident survey here so we can get your input on priorities and future projects.

  • All PLE dues were collected, and the current budget is on target for our project costs for the year. We’ll share more details during the annual homeowner meeting. Thanks to Shaun Bierman for his continuing volunteer services as PLE Treasurer and to Larry for stepping in to help as needed.

  • Our development’s festive look continues with Halloween and Christmas decorations on the PLE monument.

  • The last storm damaged several trees and fence rails near the entrance. The PLE team repaired the damage in early December, and cleaned the fence. Thank you Zack and Brad Verner for all your hard work! There are still several trees that need to be removed to prevent further fence damage and potential road blockage. The PLE board is working hard to keep maintenance costs low by removing the smaller trees ourselves.

  • The savvy bears in our neighborhood have learned when trash days are, and have helped themselves to cans put out for pickup overnight. Please keep your cans out of sight and inaccessible to wildlife, and wait until the morning of pickup to minimize the temptation for our furry friends. The more food they find in our neighborhood, the more frequently they cross 204th Avenue. Sadly, one was killed by a car in November while crossing that busy street.

  • King County has replaced most of the drainage rock throughout the area

  • Thanks to the vast majority of residents who have kept the neighborhood looking great and maintaining our “neat and trim” standards. We appreciate your efforts, and overall the neighborhood is looking better than it has in the past 5 years! We also love the holiday spirit with so many people exhibiting great Christmas light displays – THANK YOU for making PLE a beautiful place to live! Please, everyone, make an extra effort to keep your property up to community standards!

  • The “residents only” signs seem to be reducing trespassers in our common areas. Please let a PLE board member know if you see any non-residents entering these areas. We’ve also seen several RV’s camped out along 203rd, and will soon be putting up signs to discourage this activity in our development.

Over the past few months, we’ve had a few inquiries about sheds, gravel, landscaping and other items, so we’ve continued our FAQ.

Thanks again to all the PLE residents who make our neighborhood a GREAT community. Please let us know your ideas for further improving our neighborhood

Sincerely,

The PLE Board – William, Marlowe and Shaun

PS – HUGE thanks to Michelle Verner for being our communications maestro. She keeps the website going, along with our meeting minutes, etc.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OUR PLE RESIDENTS! HERE’S TO AN HEALTHY, HAPPY 2022 IN PARADISE!
